One Wallet, different kinds of value
Purchased gift value is value bought through Romero’s Wallet for a recipient. Promotional and loyalty value is value Romero’s may issue subject to the terms shown with that promotion. Current and Record rewards are percentage-discount codes, not stored-value balances. They may have separate eligibility and redemption rules.
Legacy gift records placed in migration staging are not available to spend until Romero’s has recovered, reconciled, migrated, and validated the underlying balance.
Buying and claiming gift value
You choose an amount between the limits shown in the purchase form and provide purchaser and recipient information. Stripe processes payment. After Romero’s receives confirmation of successful payment, Romero’s issues purchased gift value associated with the recipient email supplied at checkout.
Romero’s does not currently send an automatic recipient-delivery email. The purchaser is responsible for entering the correct recipient email and telling the recipient to open Romero’s Wallet with that address. The recipient claims and accesses value by verifying that email through a secure sign-in link.
Using value at Romero’s
An eligible Wallet holder can create a short-lived checkout pass and show it to authorized staff. Staff verifies and applies eligible value to the corresponding restaurant check. A pass expires after a short period for security; expiration of the pass does not expire or remove the underlying Wallet balance.
Romero’s currently imposes no issuance, maintenance, inactivity, or redemption fee on purchased gift value, and purchased gift value does not expire. Promotional, loyalty, Current, and Record rewards may have separate limits or expiration terms disclosed with the offer.
Corrections, refunds, transfers, and cash
Contact Romero’s promptly about an incorrect recipient address, lost access, a disputed purchase, or a suspected unauthorized redemption. Romero’s will review the available purchase, identity, redemption, and payment records before taking action.
Refund availability, transfer between Wallet holders, replacement or recovery, cash redemption, stacking with other offers, and treatment of chargebacks depend on the circumstances, applicable law, and any terms displayed with the value. These terms do not promise that every request will be granted, and they do not limit a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
Account access and records
Your Wallet is tied to a verified email address. You are responsible for controlling access to that email and for signing out on a shared device. Romero’s maintains transaction and audit history needed to preserve legitimate balances, investigate disputes, reconcile restaurant use, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Closing access to a profile does not erase or forfeit legitimate purchased value.
Not a financial account
Romero’s Wallet is a limited-use restaurant value and rewards system. It is not a bank account, deposit account, insured account, investment, or generally transferable money. It does not earn interest.
Changes and contact
Romero’s may update these terms for later activity as the Wallet changes. An update will not erase a legitimate existing balance. Material terms applicable to a completed purchase remain available in Romero’s records.
